Dear Brother in Christ,

The Anglican Church of the Resurrection has begun the search for our new rector. Our previous rector, the Rev. Dr. Eric Menees was recently called as Bishop of the Diocese of San Joaquin. Currently, Fr. Dennis Kelly, who is a member of our parish, serves as priest-in-charge until we call our new rector. In our short history, the Lord has poured blessing upon blessing on our parish including godly men to lead us. So it is with confidence that we prayerfully enter into the search for the man that God has already chosen to be our next rector.

We’ve created the attached parish profile and rector position description so that you can learn about our congregation and the requirements of the position. After reviewing these materials, should you feel led to pursue the position, we ask that you send us the following items postmarked no later than February 15, 2012:

• The completed Rector Candidate Questionnaire Form
• Your curriculum vitae
• A recording (DVD, audio, or web link) of an Easter Sunday sermon you’ve prepared and presented. It is acceptable to create a new recording if your previous sermon was not recorded.
• 2 letters of reference
• A recent photograph of yourself

Upon review of the applications, we will be conducting telephone interviews with those candidates who appear to be the best fit for our church. Those candidates who are finalists for the position may receive a visit in their current churches from members of the search committee. The top candidates will be invited to our church for additional interviews. All visits and correspondence will be confidential.
