Discipleship

Discipleship at Resurrection

Growing in our relationship with the Lord requires an intentionality that is a fundamental aspect to all that we do at Resurrection.  We have Retreats, Studies and Programs for people of all ages… here are a few.  Sunday Morning Study… takes place every Sunday morning between the services in the Pastor’s office.  Small Group Bible Study… takes place on 10:00 Tuesday mornings at Church and Wednesday’s at 6:00 pm at the home of Jim & Melodie Rice.  Teen Bible Study... takes place on Wednesday evening at 6:30 and Sunday evening at 5:30.  During the seasons of Advent and Lent we have Wednesday Evening Studies... at the Church for the whole church. Annual classes include preparation for Confirmation and First Holy Communion.   Retreats are an important part of our discipleship at Resurrection with Youth Retreats known as Anglican Youth Ministries High School (AYM High) and Following the Lord Anglican Youth Ministries – Middle School (FLAYM) taking place in the Spring and Fall each year at Green Oak Ranch in Vista.  Adults are encouraged to participate in Cursillo which is a “short course in Christianity for church leaders” and takes place in the Spring and Fall.  In addition the Anglican Men's and Women's Retreats take place in the Spring and include world renowned leaders including our own Archbishop Gregory Venables and Archbishop Henri Luke Orombi just to name two.

Of course, nothing takes the place of our daily scripture study and prayer in which all members of Resurrection are encouraged to participate in for at least 20 minutes a day.
